Caplett, Caplette, Carrigan Donna Murphy
Looking for information on Nelson Caplett(e) and Maria Pelar Lopez Carrigan

Frank Caplett was my g-father and one of the 7 children. I have a lot of family
history from that time to the present, but cannot get past 1880's. I need help.

talked about the priest at her church and how much she liked him. She also
talked about her wonderful grandparents. (These are stories from my Mom and my

Morehead John Morehead
A.H. Morehead and his wife Fannie, moved from Silver City, NM to Globe in 1878
or 1879 with their two children, Fannie and my father, John Hoe Morehead
(b1877). My grandmother Fannie died in Globe on 5/14/1881 at the age of 26. My
father John grew up in Globe and subsequently married Lucy Merritt; their
daughter Marjorie was born about 1902. 1900 and 1910 census records shows that
he worked as a merchant, and he told me that he sold or worked in lumber for the
mines. My father was very involved in the White Mountain Masonic Lodge # 3, and
maintained a membership there at least through the 1940's, long after he left
Globe. I have a personally signed letter of introduction by Governor Hunt from
1915, recommending my father. He left Globe for Long Beach, CA in 1915, I think.
I am working on my family genealogy and want to reconstruct my father's history.
I will visit Globe in the Spring of 2003 to search for more information and
details. If anyone has any information that might help me in that, or if anyone
is interested in the small amount of information that I have, please contact me
at redrover@sleepydog.com.

Carnighan, McElleran Jeanne Dillon Green
Avice Bosse did some research on my Carnighan family and suggested I contacted
you for further research on the Carnighan & McElleran as they were supposed
to have lived in Mammoth, Pinal County/time frame:1890's-1920's. If you can shed
some light on these families or direct me in the proper direction,I would really
appreciate it. Seems that my SC ancestors deserted the South for the West! and
were never hear of since! jdillong@yahoo.com
Crane Bob
I am researching the life of Alice Rollins Crane (who at some time married a
'Count' Victor Morajeski ). Alice was interested in Native Americans and spent
part of the time between 1890 and 1905 and between 1910 and 1917 in the Tucson,
Arizona area, where she did some research and writing about the Casa Grande
Indian Ruins. She and her husband are listed in the Tucson City Directories to
1919, and thereafter Victor is listed in 1922. Then both seem to have
disappeared without a trace or paper trail to follow. Alice and her husband
claimed to have owned Owl's Head silver mine just north of Tucson. They were the
executors of the will of Thomas Jeffords, the 'Blood Brother' of Cochise, the
great Apache Chief. Any help you can give on Alice or her husband will be
greatly appreciated. rjstahl@asu.edu

Silver King Cemetery KWarren
Looking for pictures of headstones found in the Silver King Cemetery back around
1950. I have been told that at that time someone had seen the headstone of
Charlie Dobbie. He was murdered by the Apache Kid in 1892, at a local ranch, and
taken to the Silver King for burial. I recently visited the cemetery and found
only the marker for Trevethan, believed to be a former miner at the Silver King.
